Urinetown is a satirical musical set in a dystopian city facing a severe water shortage, forcing citizens to pay to use public toilets run by a corrupt corporation, Urine Good Company (UGC), or be sent to the mysterious "Urinetown".

The plot follows young hero Bobby Strong, who, inspired by the show's narrator Officer Lockstock and his assistant Little Sally, leads the poor in a rebellion against the oppressive system, demanding free access to bathrooms, but the revolution descends into chaos, exposing the flaws of both unchecked capitalism and naive idealism, with a dark, nihilistic twist ending that critiques power, society, and musical theater itself.
